Self-destructive messages are very useful when it comes to sharing sensitive information.
You may have seen this feature in the Telegram and some other messaging apps.

However, for WhatsApp, it will be an important addition when it arrives. WABetaInfo noticed this add-on.
It is currently in the development phase and will be launched soon in the stable version.
On WhatsApp, self-destructive messages can be referred to as “Disappearing” messages.

This should allow you to send a message and specify a timer to self-destruct.
WABetaInfo also notes that the feature lets you choose between 5 seconds or 1 hour for messages to disappear.
You’ll probably be able to use this feature in Groups as well – including individual conversations.

With the information available now, it cannot be confirmed if there will be more timeout options for missing messages.
However, it will work just as the Telegram app for self-destructive messages does.
Note that there are no official announcements about the feature yet.
