Systemd linux is vulnerable – check version

Systemd is a modern replacement for System V Linux and the standard Linux base init LSB. Systemd owns PID 1, and starts directly from the kernel.

All other processes are each started directly by systemd, or by any child of the systemd family.

Systemd is designed to manage all complex processes of moderate Linux systems, managing all processes from start to shut down.

The researcher from exploitdb has found that systemd 246 was found to contain a privilege escalation vulnerability where the ‘status systemctl’ monad can be executed as the root user.
This flaw allows local attackers to gain root privileges.

Whatever type of Linux system you have, we advise you to upgrade as soon as possible, so that you are not threatened by the security vulnerability of your data in the system, your servers.
